Some of this money went toward our UP trip, but we still have a significant amount remaining. One of the main goals of the grant committee was to provide assistance purchasing shoes to area cross country runners. If you haven't read my handout about shoes, please take a moment to do so, noting that I believe a quality pair of running shoes is the most important investment you can make as a runner. However, if you or your family is finding that the $100-$125 price tag at Gazelle is a bit steep, please contact me for information on how to make this happen. There is funding specifically designated for properly equipping our athletes this season, and I am excited to see those feet and legs taken care of!
Thank you to the PFP, and I'd encourage you all to thank them next summer by running in--or volunteering at--one of their races.
