It rained most of the way up and most of the way down. We tried to set up our tents in between breaks in the rain. The views from camp were worth it though, including the bridge, the island, Lake Huron, a rainbow, and sunrises for those of us willing to wake up early.
On the ferry to the island, where money would be spent, fudge would be consumed, tandem bikes would be conquered, and the rain stayed away!
So let's just say that two of our girls were better at bike riding than the other two. We won't name names though. Just after taking this picture, we ran into Jacey and her family, by the way!
Just before the Rudyard Lions' 5K run. The sign on the way into Rudyard (in the middle of nowhere in the U.P.) said, "Welcome to Rudyard, Small but Friendly!" Our girls did well in the race, as Rachel was the overall female winner, Whitney and Leah medaled in their age group, and Kasey ran a time to be proud of.
